Beginning November 1, 2019, Thoroughbred Golf Club began pricing green fees through "dynamic pricing". Green fees will be determined by demand on the golf course, unless otherwise stated.
For the winter 2020 (November & December), rates are currently set as follows:
All rates include cart rental
Rates for golf - green fees & cart rental - for 2020, unless otherwise stated, will be based according to demand. Rack rates for the course will be:
"Rack rates" are used as the base from which "demand pricing" is determined. The website will show current pricing, or feel free to call the golf shop.
Demand pricing means that prices will vary day to day and from different time blocks throughout the day. You can find the best price for your individual needs by finding the time of day that provides you the best pricing.
Each individual who is on golf course property should be covered by an insurance policy provided by the golf course. Riders who accompany a golfer but who do not play themselves must pay a rider fee in order to be covered by insurance in the event of injury or accident. The rider fee is: $10 for 18 holes & $5 for 9 holes
We are now able to provide a discount to those golfers who choose to play Thoroughbred. For all seniors, military - both active duty as well as veterans - and first responders, we will provide a 10% discount from the current rate for the day and time that you are playing. While it is a small discount, it is important for us to recognize the importance each of you brings to our course, and it is a small gesture of thanks for all that you have done as well as what you continue to do in our community.
Juniors between the age of 11-17 can play Thoroughbred at 25% off the current rate for the day and time that you are playing. Junior golfers 10 and under can play for free, when accompanied by an adult.
Each player, whether member or guest, is required to register in the golf shop prior to play. Identification may be requested, to insure that players who register are properly entered into the course database.
Registration is required to allow the course to know who is playing and when they began play. This helps us to react quickly to any situation that may require us to find people on the course. Please respect our right to ask this information, as it may actually save time in the event of a personal emergency.
Thoroughbred Golf Club maintains a state and Jessamine County mandated alcohol license that permits the sale of alcoholic beverages to customers of legal age. This license forbids alcohol being brought onto the premises from outside. Only alcohol purchased from our facility is allowed to be consumed.
We will ask any persons violating this policy to strictly adhere to the laws and restrictions placed upon us by the state ABC, or they will be asked to leave - without exception.
The dress code at Thoroughbred Golf Club is pretty laid back. We don't mind blue jeans, as long as they don't have rivets. No cut-off pants. Cargo jeans and shorts are acceptable. Athletic shorts, like basketball shorts, swim trunks, etc, are not acceptable.
We do not require a collared shirt, but do require that shirts other than golf shirts be clean, do not have obscene or profane wordings or graphics. Tank tops are not permissible. All men's shirts must have sleeves.
Dress for women should be appropriate for a golf environment. Halter tops & short shorts are not allowed.
Thoroughbred Golf Club does not permit spiked golf shoes. Athletic shoes with shallow tread depth are acceptable. Any other type of athletic footwear will need approval.
All golfers are expected to wear some type of acceptable footwear. This is required due to the fact that fertilizers and chemicals may be present on the turf. Please follow our requirements to insure your safety.
We use limited flight range balls, as our practice range is limited in length. Range balls are for use only on the driving range. Players stealing range balls to either play on the course or take off the property will be dealt with on a one-on-one basis, but we ask that you respect our request to use range balls only on the practice range or putting green.
Occasionally, the course will be closed to play. This may be due to weather conditions, or for maintenance issues. When the course is closed, no play is permitted.
Respect the golf course, and other golfers on the course as well.
Horse play will result in removal from the course without refunds
Each player is expected to have a set of clubs. Multiple players can not play from a single set of clubs.
Golfers are expected to be attired in appropriate clothing. No cut-offs or athletic shorts. Tank tops for men are not permitted.
